WASHINGTON - The Iraqi government officially launched their official channel on video sharing site YouTube. Iraq followed the White House, the British Royal Family, and the others who have a special channel on YouTube.
The announcement of Iraq's presence on the site acquired by Google is a result of the continuation of the visit Google CEO Eric Schmidt to the devastated country since the U.S. invasion. Previously, the internet giant will present artifacts and documents the National Museum of Iraq in the form online.
In its inaugural broadcast on youtube.com / irakgov, the Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki told a video that contains the message that began from the moment the football exploits in the Iraqi government can be seen all over the world through YouTube.
"The world will see Iraqi government capable of making the federal democratic government center, which increases security, economic, political and through broadcast on this site," said Maliki, told AFP on Thursday (25/11/2009).
"The government saw the video technology is able to show the success of Iraq," he said.
Schmodit welcomes the emergence of this particular channel, and he hoped his presence could make the country better develop education in Iraq.
