Away days, Google is already anticipated this by including a statement at the top of Google search results. The statement reads, "Sometimes our search results can be offensive. We agree." The statement mentioned that sometimes the search results could potentially offend a particular party.
Users who click on the statement will be directed to a link from Google's written statement stating that the search results may display content that is disturbing, even dangerous. But Google added the information that it does not support such content on their website.
Google mentioned formula search system they rely on thousands of factors to rate the importance of each web page. They also admitted not easily eliminate the search results because of the many complaints from users.
However, Google said in certain cases it will be interesting photographs and potentially offensive, especially if the photos were not allowed according to applicable laws.
"We apologize if you're disappointed when using Google," Google spokesman said Scott Rubin is quoted from NZHerald, Wednesday (25/11/2009).
Rubin did not explain how the photo could appear in the first order of search results. He only mentioned it had eliminated one of the sites present is because the monkey photo contains a virus. However, there seems to be another site that displays the same image and escaped to appear in Google search results. Meanwhile, the White House declined to comment on this relevant.
This is not Google's first apologize for the content displayed on search results. Earlier, in 2004 Google tripped similar problem when keyword 'Jew' displays of anti-Semitic sites in the first order of Google search results.
